Confidence in Motion: Using Parkour to Build Better Nose Work

Registration Link: Auditing Spot

Approved for 2.5 CEUs for CNWIs

Confidence is one of the most important skills a nose work dog can have—and one of the easiest to strengthen through Dog Parkour. In this workshop, you'll discover how simple parkour exercises can help dogs become more resilient, thoughtful, and confident when faced with challenging search environments.

We'll use safe, low-impact parkour obstacles and behaviors to improve body awareness, problem-solving, and independence while teaching dogs to confidently interact with a variety of surfaces, objects, and environments. You'll learn how to incorporate these exercises into your regular training to help your dog tackle unfamiliar search areas, recover from mistakes more quickly, and approach new challenges with confidence.

Whether your dog needs a confidence boost or you're looking for another tool to enhance your nose work training, this workshop will show you how Parkour and Nose Work are the perfect complement to one another. No previous Parkour experience is required.
